Meet Mae

My boring professional title is full time wedding and engagement photographer but you can look at me as that fun, weird chick that you’re totally going to be friends with, spend some time wedding planning with and take lovely photos with. Or you can look at me as that girl who’s probably teary eyed behind the camera because she’s a sap and shimmy shakin’ through your dance floor because she wants the best live action photos for your memories.

As you might be able to tell, I’m super laid back, but don’t let that fool you. I’m also very Type A and like to have all my ducks in a row and everything organized. I’m a super planner, possibly to a fault, but I do it out of passion for my job and peace of mind for my couples. I’ve been in the wedding industry long enough to know that these two polar opposite characteristics are hella helpful as a wedding photographer!

While wedding photography is my professional passion, family life is my personal passion. I’m a new mama to the sweetest, smiliest, possibly silliest baby boy named Atlas and a long time dog mama to two of the best, wrinkly pooches named Meat and Sophie. This great family wouldn’t be possible without my wonderful and down right weird ass husband, Lou. If you combine all of our ridiculous quirks and very odd ways, you’d end up with a first class ticket on the Kopachy Hot Mess Express. We sing made up songs, dance very expressively (think wacky inflatable tube guy in front of a car dealership) and are always down for a Ricky and Morty marathon, a Marvel movie or an episode of Impractical Jokers. We’re certainly a goofy bunch, but also very loving and compassionate souls and I, personally, try to bring love and joy with me everywhere I go.

 While my homestead is in Youngstown, Ohio, I also photograph in Cleveland, Warren, Pittsburgh and beyond. As a Youngstown wedding photographer, I've photographed at many of the beautiful venues that Ohio has to offer, including The Lake Club, Stambaugh Auditorium, The Grand Barn at the Mohicans, Mapleside Farms, Hocking Hills, Mooreland Mansion, The Avalon, Running Horse Farm and many more. I'm also available for destination weddings.
