What happens when you put seven local photographers together, fully equipped with cameras and cheesy one liners? The answer is a lot of laughter, light chasing, beautiful photos and weird looks from strangers.
The other night, a few of us from the Youngstown Tuesdays Together group met up to do a headshot swap. Being photographers, we don't often find ourselves in front of the camera. Most of us hate it to be honest. But, I know I could always use a new headshot and a few hours with some friends, so I couldn't wait to see everyone and meet a new face or two.
I feel like I talk about the Rising Tide Society and our local Tuesdays Together group a lot, but the truth is that this group has given me a sense of community that I didn't have a year and a half ago. I've gained so many wonderful business AND personal relationships just by simply going to our monthly meet ups. It's extra, fun nights like this where we just shoot, chit chat and laugh that really makes being a business owner worthwhile. Most of my days are spent talking to myself or two furry, four legged human dogs a while sitting behind a computer screen, so it's nice to have a social outing every now and then! Plus, it's so much fun to learn from other photographers and see how they work. We explored downtown Youngstown and some well known spots like The DeYor and The Federal, and also checked out some areas off the beaten path. Here are some shots from the night!
