If you didn't know, I'm a country girl at heart. It doesn't matter how many barn weddings I shoot, something deep down inside of me swoons and that feeling will never get old. There are three things that I know are true for barn weddings - 1. the vibe is super laid back and fun 2. there is always good music and 3. there is most definitely an open bar and some fun times to photograph ;] Gabby and Shane's wedding at The Barn & Gazebo in Salem, Ohio was no exception. I had fun exploring all three levels and really taking in ALL of the intricate details the bride and groom spent over a year in preparing. Everything was so detailed and personal.
The girls got ready on the top floor while the guys prepared on the bottom level. It was so cute to see the nervous excitement from both Gabby and Shane. They were a couple for about 10 years before their wedding day, and I can't even imagine all of the emotions they must've been feeling!
Their ceremony took place outside at the gazebo, and it was definitely a beautiful summer day for an outdoor wedding!
Gabby and Shane chose their closest friends and family to be a part of the wedding party. The girls had gorgeous long, flowy dresses - complete with cowboy boots, of course! The guys rocked their chocolate tuxes like pros, with custom cuff links and teal socks that matched the Bridesmaid's dresses.
My absolute favorite part of the day was when I got to steal Gabby and Shane away from the crowd and photograph just the two of them. They were troopers as we chased that soft evening light through the trees.
We ended the night under a full moon and twinkle lights. Thank you, Gabby and Shane, for letting me be a part of your special day!!!
