Meaghan and Jon's Fall Engagement Session at Lake Newport Wetlands in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio
It’s true that I shortened my name to Mae partially in hopes that people would spell it correctly. No one could ever spell my name right for as long as I can remember. When I met Meaghan, I thought to myself, FINALLY! Someone who knows how I feel! Needless to say, I liked her right away because of that, but then got to know her and Jon at their engagement session and seriously felt like I was hanging out with old friends. They’re dog lovers like me and brought along their sweet basset hound puppy, Nellie. I was in complete heaven! They also took me to a location in Mill Creek Park near Lake Newport in Youngstown, Ohio that I’ve never before, and I’m completely over the moon in love with this area.
After we explored the wetlands and Nell got all of the lovin’, peanut butter licks and puppy bones her little heart could ever want, we wrapped up our session at the silver Cinderella bridge. It was homecoming the day we shot, so there were people everywhere. Even though it was a zoo, we made the best of the pretty areas we could maneuver through. Speaking of zoo, there was even a pot bellied pig walking with her owner, so we just HAD to say hi. It was a scene to say the least! But it was worth it!
The first time I met Meaghan and Jon, we had a lengthy discussion about how much we all love Bake Me Treats (I recommend them ten times over for weddings because their cakes are BEAUTIFUL and super tasty!). They frequent the bakery and Jon even got a custom cake made for the proposal. At their home, he surprised Meaghan with a special cake that asked, “Will you marry me?”. Not only that, but he had their close friends and family waiting to celebrate with them at V2 in downtown Youngstown.
Meaghan and Jon are planning a simple Summer wedding next June at The Vineyards at Pine Lake. Mist blue colors, white florals and wooden accents complimented by tons of greenery will be the vibe of the wedding, which sounds so elegant and absolutely perfect for the lakeside venue. There will also be personal touches like music lyrics on display, bourbon bottles and decor for their sweet pooch. I’m really looking forward to seeing it all come together!
