Jordyn and Cameron's One Year Wedding Anniversary Session | Westminster College | New Wilmington, PA
Naturally, I prefer warm weather to the frigid cold temps here in Ohio. Though, there is just something about photographing Jordyn and Cameron in January that makes me forget just how cold it is outside. They proved it on their wedding day last January (check out their wedding photos here) and again this year for their one year anniversary session. Jordyn makes it look so easy, honestly. She didn’t once complain about the cold and wanted to power through for beautiful pictures, and I’m so glad she did! We had a lovely afternoon at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. They got married at Wallace Memorial Chapel on campus, so it was a pretty special place to spend their anniversary. I made sure that we hit up some of the spots we took their wedding photos so they can have some pretty nice “day one, year one” side by side photos. Of course, we shot at a few places we weren’t able to on their wedding day.
They also took me to the little bridge in the woods where Cameron actually proposed to Jordyn. It was on a little trail near campus and the perfect setting for photos, even in the dead of winter. We had the sun peeking in and out of the clouds while we explored the riverbed. The sound of the trickling water was very relaxing. It’s no wonder Cameron chose this spot to propose!
I seriously wish all of my couples did anniversary photos! It was so much fun to catch up with Jordyn and Cameron. Considering the challenging year we’ve all had, it was so refreshing to see the spark between these two shining bright. I actually think they looked more comfortable and in love than on their wedding day, which is truly a testament to how great they are for each other. I’d frolic in the snow with them any day!
