I fall in love with Lake Erie every time I'm there. There are a few particular lakes around here that hold such great memories for me and Lake Erie is one of them. Getting to photograph there combines so many great things for me, so I was over the moon excited when Chelsea mentioned Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor, Ohio. No, I'd never been there before but I absolutely love a good adventure with my couples! The weather was perfect for their engagement session and we were so fortunate to have some cool clouds and a magical sunset….

Lauren and Mike's Fall Family Session at Mill Creek Metroparks Farm in Canfield, Ohio

It's no surprise that I love watching families grow. It's especially heartfelt for me when a family continually asks me to follow along in their journey and create these bookmarks in their story. Last year, I had the opportunity to get to know Lauren and Mike's family better. They were expecting their first (human) child and we had a beautiful and personal maternity session in the spring. Klopta Family Session at Ford Nature Center in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio

Since the wedding haze of September hasn't really hit me yet, I figured I'd sneak in a blog or two on some sessions other than brides and grooms :P This session with Melissa and T.J. was in June for the kiddos birthdays (anyone else a June baby? I am, too!). I've photographed these guys quite a few times now, and Harper and Zander sure know how to keep me on my toes in the best way possible. Our first session involved matching Batman and Robin capes, our second was a light saber sword fight, our third involved some good ole' fashioned Cleveland Browns gear and our latest one, T.J. not so sneakily tied in some wine and gold colored clothes because they're big Cavs fans like I am. Needless to say, I appreciated the outfit choices :P
