Danielle and Craig's Outdoor Fall Wedding | Shangri-La Event Center | Garrettsville, Ohio

I always feel so honored when my friends ask me to photograph their wedding day. I feel even more honored when it’s someone I’ve been friends with for 10 plus years like Danielle. Before wedding planning with her, I don’t even remember the last time we had seen each other. Being able to reconnect with her for one of the biggest days of her life seriously makes me ten times more grateful for my career path!…

Jillian and Josh's Micro Summer Wedding | Running Horse Farm | Geneva, Ohio

Okay okay okay, I’ll just say it. Covid has really made 2020 a year of surprises, mostly bad ones. But I will admit, the trend of micro weddings that this pandemic has thrust upon 2020 couples is actually a blessing in disguise! They’re intimate with very minimal bells and whistles, which helps everyone focus on the couple and their love rather than material things. If you are reading this right now, if you’ve ever shared my name to someone searching for a photographer, if you’ve ever read a single post of mine, if you follow along with my work on social media, if you’ve shared my photos and even just glanced at a single picture I’ve ever taken - you allow me to continue to create artwork and continue to leave physical proof of monumental moments like this wedding day. For that, I’m forever thankful, not just today but every single day.…

Best of Mae B Photo Weddings 2018 and a Thank You to All of the Mae B Photo Couples

When I entered into the new year of 2018, I had such a momentum going and I couldn’t describe it. I instantly felt like the year was going to be the best in my career but also the most challenging. I never could’ve imaged just what that meant, but it truly was both absolutely wonderful and absolutely exhausting. Even with all of the challenges, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I experienced the highest of highs and fulfilled some career goals that I am so thankful for. I felt the pressure of being a seasonal wedding photographer in Ohio, with an overflowing work schedule and never ending to do list. I learned from my shortcomings and truly value those experiences, even though it felt at times like I’d never see the light at the end of the tunnel….
